Hi, guys!!! Ugh, it has been a MINUTE since I have posted a blog entry! Things have been hectic and busy (like everyone’s life, I know), but I also feel like I get much more engagement on my Instagram, in comparison to the blog. If you prefer or like this medium, please let me know!! Whether it be a DM, a comment on a recent IG post, or a comment on here, it would mean SO MUCH to me and really motivate me to keep the content coming!! I absolutely love to write and produce content on here (and actually prefer it to the gram in a lot of ways), but I also want to put my time and energy into what you guys like to see from me, most! 🙂 Anyway, I’m excited to talk desk-to-dinner looks with you! I partnered with Amazon Fashion on this post, and we decided to go with a theme of “desk-to-dinner” looks to go along with their most recent campaign. I have always turned to Amazon for just about eeeverything, but that list didn’t typically include clothing… until now! Only recently did I realize the number of brands and designers they carry (both high and low end) and was so stoked to find almost everything I am wearing in these pictures from a single online source!

While a part of me casually worries that someday conglomerates like Amazon and Google are going to take over the world, the other part of me feels like there is definitely something to be said for the convenience of a one-stop shop or if you need something in a hurry. Much of the clothing is Amazon-Prime eligible, meaning that if you have a Prime account, a lot of times you can get your clothing in 2-3 days!

The first couple of pictures are of my work attire, followed by ones of my what I changed into for happy hour or dinner; so you can see, I simply changed out my work pants for a white denim pair, and wa-la! I was ready for a night (or a couple hours, lol) out on the town! But in a lot of today’s business-casual offices, the outfit with just the jeans would work just fine!

I am in love with this top for work or play, making it ideal for a desk-to-dinner type of situation. I talked about everything I’m wearing in detail on my Instagram Stories (still available in my highlights section under “Try-On Hauls”). In my stories you can see that the back actually has a place to tie it! It’s my favorite part of the top, but of course we forgot to shoot that part 🙄 #typical.

I am also addicted to using this carry-all tote, which comes in three colors! I originally picked it for this project because it is the perfect “work” bag, but have since adopted it to be my toddler/life bag, which I’d say definitely makes it a desk-to-dinner staple! Not sure why I was so late to this show, but I don’t think I’ve ever owned an actual tote, other than a beach one, and they are LIFE-CHANGING!! This one literally fits my entire life and more in it. In addition to carting around my laptop, I usually have multiple pieces of clothing, toys, Logan’s change of clothes, her snacks, etc. Again, I show how roomie it is on my stories.

Lastly, these heels had actually been sitting in my cart at another retailer for a little while when I stumbled upon them at Amazon Fashion! I was so excited! They are the perfect shade to go with everything in your closet (but do come in like 30 other colors and patterns). I typically wear a size 6 in shoes but wish I had gone with a 6.5 in these. I have to say though that, post baby, I have started to feel that way about a lot of shoe brands, which they say is a thing 😒.

This is my second office or “desk” look, before transitioning to dinner. A black dress is the perfect thing to wear on a day that you might be heading somewhere directly after work because it’s one of the easiest pieces to transition! I simply swapped out my blazer and heels for a denim jacket and platform sandals and added a sweater around my waist for some layering/a bit more dimension, but that part is obvi optional! P.S. I have had this fitted blazer for several years now and love it, but I linked some similar options for you above and below. For everything else, I have exact pieces linked!

Fun little fact about this shoot – we did it at MidiCi, The Neapolitan Pizza Company in downtown, Cincinnati, and, not only were the drinks great, but the service and welcoming energy from the staff and owner were above and beyond! I found out later that people are kind of their thing. They’re all about personal interaction “without the social media,” lol. Despite that, they were just as nice, if not nicer and more accommodating after finding out I was a fashion blogger using their space. Their hospitality makes it such an ideal place for a desk-to-dinner meal, after enduring a long day at the office! Anyway, HIGHLY RECOMMEND if you haven’t been there! I need to go back ASAP because the brick-oven pizza looked amazeee.
