I still can’t believe my baby girl is one year old ?!! The arrival of her first birthday has had me looking back on this year emotionally and gratefully, but most of all, so fondly; everything, from the early days of living in a sleep-deprived blur and treating each venture out of the apartment like a victory (and germs, like the plague), to today, where, though somewhat still a bit sleep-deprived, life is anything but blurry.

Rather, I’m constantly trying to soak up everything: Every new experience for her, every new bit of sass or personality she introduces to us, every milestone, and, as cheesy as it sounds, every laugh. Literally every time she laughs, I’m swept off my feet, and I try to keep her laughing longer.Things I was unsure of before are comically second nature now. One thing that hasn’t changed though is the fact that she will still fall asleep on my chest (thank God), which she is doing as we speak (drafting from my phone) :).

Life is infinitely better with her in it. We often reflect on the fact that activities done with Logan are simply more fun. More rewarding. And I can barely remember what on earth I used to worry and stress about BB (before baby)! It’s quite beautifully indescribable.

Anyway, I mentioned it in this post, but we decided to celebrate Logan’s baptism and first birthday together, so after the ceremony at our neighborhood church, we took a five minute drive to my parents’ country club, which is where we held the party.
