Ft. the best everyday hoodie for spring / Hi guys! We’re driving back from Chicago right now (blogging from my phone), and I am sooo pumped at all the hints of spring we’ve been starting to have! We recently saw some Muscari (the flowers that look like grapes) beginning to sprout! Hopefully they don’t die if it gets cold again :/. And this weekend in Chi-town, the streets, parks, and beaches were peppered with people out enjoying the 60-70 degree weather. ?
Adidas’ Originals for your Best Athleisure Looks / Thank goodness for athleisure because I have been living in it (as seen here and here) and these adidas joggers are no exception. They’re a great change up from leggings and are so cute and flattering in, well, a more leisurely athletic way (lol). Of course, you don’t have to wear them with sportswear all the time! I decided to style them casually but with clothing that wouldn’t be considered athletic wear…
With Valentine’s Day less than a week away, I thought I’d share an option for those of us looking for a last-minute look that is on theme but doesn’t necessarily scream Valentine’s Day. Best of all, it’s ON SALE, just in time! The detailing and cut of the top around the neck and shoulder line are perfect, but my favorite part is the scalloping at the bottom, making this classic shift dress a bit more flirty and fun.
Oversized sweaters are trending more than ever this winter, and it’s the best when trends are cozy and comfy, am I right!? Rather than the smaller silhouette you’d typically see paired with this oversized sweater, I decided to go a different route and keep my jogger obsession going strong. I love doing the unexpected to keep things fresh and interesting.
One of the great things about winter: Beanies! I got this pom beanie for Christmas, as well as this scarf (from different people, and they just happened to work together!). But in other news, bomber jackets continue to be going strong this season, and I love the burgundy hue and varsity-jacket style of this one. I wear it everywhere, over my workout clothes to the gym, the grocery store, or with black skinny jeans for date night…
In high school I remember stealing my mom’s bodysuits, and my friends made fun of me when I would wear them. They were considered something of the 80’s, and yet, here they are today, back in all their glory :). Really, I like to think of them as a convenience thing—like my 9-month-old’s onesies, they stay in place, and they don’t ride up! They’re brilliant…
While I love being edgy with my style, I also tend to be drawn to neutrals, playing it safe, in a way. And while these ankle boots sort of fall into the “neutral” category, their sparkle makes them anything but bland!
Hi guys! So I really want to start posting more regularly! It’s harder than I thought it would be to find time to get photo shoots scheduled, pictures edited, and posts written while nannying and raising my babe. I started nannying actually the same week my blog went live (October 18, 2016), and whoever said that being a stay-at-home mom or caretaker isn’t “work” couldn’t have had it more wrong!
Over Christmas break, my family and I headed to Findlay Market one morning so we snapped a few shots of me wearing these ballet flats from Zara. I’m in love with how feminine and fun they are—not to mention comfortable!
To close out 2016, I rounded up my current wardrobe essentials and the different ways I’ve styled them recently. What makes these pieces major must-haves are their functionality, versatility, and, of course, their stylish aesthetic!
Before we get to them, I just want to say thank you so much for following along on this journey of ours. I launched this blog in October of 2016, so it has only been a few months, but I already know this is something I am so passionate about continuing…
