I know I posted about a poncho not long ago, but this recent purchase had to make the cut because I love its neutral shades of plaid and the fact that, because it’s “Juniors,” it’s much less expensive! Win-win! If you’re in a bind for one of your Thanksgiving/Friendsgiving parties, you can order this gem online and pick it up at a Nordstrom store (they even have a curb service if you don’t want to leave your car!). Have to say I am guilty of using this wonderful courtesy.

You may or may not have seen previous mentions of my beloved diaper bag. My best friend, who just last week had a third beautiful baby—making her an obvious pro at the whole mom thing—played a major role during my pregnancy. Among other things, she basically made my registries for me, helping me fish through today’s overwhelming sea of baby products so I would have each absolute necessity in my mommy arsenal. She and I had originally registered for an adorable bucket bag from Pottery Barn Kids that, while super cute, didn’t seem as practical, as it lacked a zipper to keep things from falling out during hectic commutes. If you can believe it, this was one of the few diaper bags we found that had a full-closure zipper, so we knew it was the one. It’s amazingly functional without being an eyesore, and it would definitely make a great office or travel bag as well (I often stick my notebook and laptop in there too). The compartments keep me organized and what seems like its never-ending space makes me a modern-day Mary Poppins. You name it, I have it in my bag!
