This maxi dress is the type that makes you feel pretty when you have it on. Indeed, it was hard to take off! Its ruffles and patterns add a fun and flirty element to an otherwise formal dress, but my favorite part about it is its elegant, flowing silhouette, which is super flattering on any body type. The maxi length is long enough that it gave me the excuse to carry it as I walked, making me feel all the more princess-y :). It was perfect for our recent cruise over the Baltic Sea! I am so into ruffles and flowy pieces at the moment – there is literally nothing more feminine and beautiful (in regards to clothing, that is haha)! I should mention that it’s a little more revealing than I normally like nowadays, but a safety pin would have done the trick. It is perfect for a summer wedding, formal event or vacation you have coming up! For reference, I talked about Rent the Runway and how it works in this post, as I’ve always had the best experiences with them!

I tied the sash around my handbag because I preferred the dress’s silhouette without the added fluff of a belt and removed the strap from said handbag so I could wear it as a clutch for a more formal look. You can’t see them (serious love for how long this dress is), but my shoes are hands-down the most comfortable heels I’ve ever owned. Probably something to do with the reasonable, yet still sexy, heel height and wide block shape, as well as the suede material, they are my go-to pair anytime I want to look a little dressier. The best part? They’re under $60!
