Happy Hump Day! In a way Wednesdays are like Friday’s for Logan and me because we’re done nannying for the week. We adore the kids we nanny, but Thursdays, Fridays, and weekends are our days to sleep in an hour later and devote more time to the blog, which I love to do so it hardly feels like work.
Another thing I love is visiting Chicago! We go super often because we have family there, and we spent part of our recent trip walking along Lake Michigan. I mean, this view though!? ??Embroidered denim is having a big moment right now, and I’m so into it! I recently opted for this pair of jeans, from Revolve because they were on sale ?, but there are so many options out there (I’ve definitely been eyeing the embroidered denim jackets). Embroidery gives a vintage vibe that I’m so into, especially with the patchwork you can get, too! Next on my list though is a customized pair of GRFLFRND jeans. How fun when you can make them you’re own!? I’m not sure if it was having a baby and getting sentimental or if I’m just a sucker for the trend, but I’m really into personalizing and am always wanting to get Logan’s name or initials on things. The bag I’m wearing for this look has her initials on it :).
Another of-the-moment look is loafers. And, as metallics have been big too, it only made sense that I was attracted to these gold loafer mules when I saw them. Best part is they’re from Forever 21, which means they aren’t going to break the bank, much like the Gucci ones we’ve been seeing everywhere. Since the metallic gold is pretty bold, I try to stick with toned down pieces for the rest of my outfit when I style them. The great thing about this is they can dress anything up, from a vintage sweatshirt, to joggers or even baggier sweats.
DETAILS: Black turtleneck (love this similar one – under $30) | Embroidered Denim (on sale – similar here, and love these star ones) | Gold Loafer Mules (under $30) | Cross body bag | Crystal blush sunnies (on sale)
Have a great rest of your week, guys!
