OUTFIT DETAILS: OVERSIZED SWEATER (old H&M – similar HERE and another similar but only $15 one HERE) | SLIP DRESS (old – similar and only $15 HERE) | TALL BOOTS (sold out – similar and 50% off HERE) | CROSSBODY BAG
Hi, guys! I wanted to do a quick roundup post of what I’ve been wearing this winter and which pieces I keep reaching for in my closet! These are the ones getting me through this cold season and they help to make my wardrobe feel interesting while keeping me warm :)!
To start, slip dresses can be styled so many ways! Here, I obviously am wearing a big sweater over top of it, and I posted about this exact one styled over a turtleneck here, but they look super cute with cardigans and over t-shirts, too! I am also a big fan of how this outfit (accidentally!) ended up being a bunch of different nude tones and have been pretty into monochromatic looks lately. As for this sweater (similar HERE) that you’ve probably seen on me 724 times, I bought it last year, and still wear it ALL. THE. TIME. It’s great to have a staple, neutral, cozy-yet-chic, versatile sweater to fall back on. A serious go-to of mine!
OUTFIT DETAILS: SWEATER DRESS (sold out in this color but still available in light grey and plum!) | OTK BOOTS (still available in black and burgundy HERE + super similar HERE – both styles have different sale prices between $50-$80, depending on the color you choose!) | CREAM & GRAY SATCHEL
OTK or tall boots are a great way to put your fall or spring dresses and skirts to use all year long. I so prefer this alternative to tights right now because it’s more interesting and adds texture and shape to your look that you don’t get from a simple pair of tights. IMO sweater dresses could go either way when it comes to going dressy or casual!
OUTFIT DETAILS: PONCHO/WEARING IT AS A SCARF haha (on sale for under $20!) | DUSTER COAT (sold out – similar HERE, teddy style HERE) | OTK BOOTS (still available in black and burgundy HERE + similar HERE – both styles have different sale prices between $50-$80, depending on the color you choose!) | CREAM & GREY SATCHEL
Because I wear this (3) poncho so much, I inadvertently end up posting about it on my Instagram so many times, as well as on the blog. It makes sense that it is one of my best-selling items! It’s a great and easy way to pull any look together. When I styled it here, I wanted something super warm and chunky, and it made out to be one of the warmest “scarves” I own! 😉
OUTFIT DETAILS: PLAID COAT |DISTRESSED JEANS (20% off with code ‘LOVE’) | DOUBLE POM BEANIE (comes in a set with one for a toddler + in 6 colors and the set is only $10!) | HUNTER BOOTS (similar HERE) | CROSSBODY BAG | LIP COLOR is a mixture of shades – I apply “Infamous” first and “Icon” over top of it!
Crazy weather doesn’t mean we can’t look cute! This plaid coat definitely makes it easier though, and tall Hunters keep the snow out 🙂
OUTFIT DETAILS: BELL SLEEVE TOP |DISTRESSED JEANS (20% off with code ‘LOVE’) | OTK BOOTS (still available in black and burgundy HERE + similar HERE – both styles have different sale prices between $50-$80, depending on the color you choose!) | CROSSBODY BAG (obsessed with THIS ONE – on sale for under $75 through 2/10!)
Throwing OTK’s over jeans is another way to add dimension and texture to an outfit! And it looks super cute!!
This bell-sleeve top is the same as one above; I told you these pieces are literally getting me through winter, haha! Had to share one more example of how OTK boots let you get away with wearing mini skirts in the dead of winter!
Back to basics. I can’t tell you how often i reach for basics, especially in the winter. When it’s super cold out, I’m not always inspired to look super cute, so not do i care to, so i just throw on snag is gong to keep me warm and what i know looks good without ha Jung to think too much. In this case though, a sweater and heels is all you need i opted for jeans, but could have easily paired these black numbers with a plaid skirt (need, come to think of it) or any skirt for that matter or a pair of black slacks.
I love a good monochrome look, and I coudn’t believe it when I found these shoes for under $70! I love this look for the office, and I didn’t really think I’d wear these “work” pants much after I switched over to childcare, but it turns out they are cute outside the office, too!
This is our most-liked photo on Instagram! 🙂 I love pairing oversized sweaters with everything! Leggings, jeans, even flowy pants.
Including this look because trenches are apparently the big thing this spring, and I don’t hate it! I feel super mysterious and chic in this one. It was actually gifted to me by my brother for Christmas! He’s pretty stylish, used to work at Banana Republic and is a pretty stylish guy :).
OUTFIT DETAILS: CROPPED HOODIE SWEATSHIRT (similar and on sale HERE) | RELAXED TEE (under $20) | HIGH-WAISTED LEGGINGS (under $60) | WHITE SNEAKERS (under $100) | BALL CAP (similar and under $30 HERE)
Don’t know where I’d be without athleisure and the fact that it is perfectly acceptable to wear it pretty much anywhere. I know a lot of you feel the same way 😉
Another casual look! I know I wear these jeans WAY too much, but it just makes me even happier that I found them! They’re my favorite!! They go with everything and are obviously so on trend with the busted knees.
I love how they use the word “fluorescent” to describe the shade of this pink in the product description, hehe. The people at Rebecca Minkoff are geniuses, if you ask me. What is a more fun idea than adding fluorescent pink faux fur to the top of what would be a pretty normal peacoat?
Cozy combos are what it’s all about right now! Bring on the blankets 😉
Pastels are also going to be big this spring so I like to think of this rose teddy as a transitional piece, haha. Also, I recently saw Arielle Charnas wearing a bucket bag so you know they’re back 🙂
I wanted to finish up with at least one outfit where I wasn’t sporting jeans because I do wear leggings almost every day! These are a faux leather pair that I love to wear for a dressier look and love them paired with something chunky up top!
Thanks for tuning in, ya’ll! Can’t tell you how much I appreciate it. Let me know if you have post ideas or requests!
